New $115 million Ethanol Plant
| Lt. Governor Becky Skillman joined executives from POET earlier this month to announce the opening of an ethanol plant in Alexandria. POET is the largest producer of biofuels in the world. The POET plant in Alexandria will utilize 22 million bushels of Indiana corn to produce 65 million gallons of ethanol and other products.
"Indiana has all the right ingredients to be a national leader in the biofuels industry. Our state excels in many areas, but agriculture has become an even bigger driver for our state's economy," said Skillman. |
