2007-08 Draw Schedule

Teal & Early Goose:

  • The Teal and Early Goose season dates are not yet set.  However, the drawings will take place each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday at 5:30AM during Teal and Early Goose season.  All of these drawing will be Open draws (non-reserved hunts).
  • The 2007-08 waterfowl hunts are divided into four (4) weekly hunts (Monday-Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday-Friday, Saturday-Sunday).

Upland Game:

  • Open drawings (non-reserved) will take place at 8:30 AM on the following dates: November 10, November 24, December 8, December 22, January 5, January 9, January 16, January 19, January 23, January 26 and January 30. 
  • Standby drawings will be held at 8:30 AM to fill no-shows on the following dates:  November 17, December 1, December 15, December 29 and January 12.
  • Depending on the outcome of the Fall Covey Count at GPFWA, additional open drawings may take place on each Wednesday at 8:30AM. Hunters wishing to take part in the possible Wednesday draws are urged to contact (812)659-9901 prior to each Wednesday to confirm that a drawing will take place.
  • A successful Saturday draw allows a party to hunt their chosen unit that Saturday and Sunday.  A successful Wednesday draw allows a party to hunt their chosen unit on that Wednesday only.

Regular Waterfowl Season:

  • The waterfowl seasons are not yet set.  However, the drawings will take place each Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday at 5:30AM during the regular waterfowl season.  Some of these drawings will be Open and others will be Standby drawings to fill unclaimed reserved hunts.  The exact dates of Open and Standby Drawings will be posted at a later date.
  • The 2007-08 waterfowl hunts are divided into four (4) weekly hunts (Monday-Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday-Friday, Saturday-Sunday).

Youth Waterfowl Season:

  • The Youth Season is not set.  The drawing will take place at 5:30AM on the Saturday of the South Zone Youth Waterfowl Season.  A successful draw allows a party to hunt their chosen unit for the entire Youth season (2 days). 

Trapping Drawing:

  • Open drawing will take place at 10:00 AM on October 6.

Deer Firearm Drawing:

  • Open drawings during deer firearm season will take place on November 17, November 19, November 22, November 24, November 26, November 29 and December 1 at 6:15AM.
  • The deer firearm season is divided into seven (7) hunts: November 17-18, November 19-21, November 22-23, November 24-25, November 26-28, November 29-30 & December 1-2.

Dove Drawing:

  • Open drawings for dove hunting will take place at 11:00AM on September 1, September 2 and September 3.  The remainder of the dove season is self-service.
