GreeneCountyIndiana.com is always proud to share our website stats because we feel that since we are a community website, it is only fair that the community know how the site is doing.

I would like to take this opportunity to explain the statistics that you are seeing. First, please disregard Aug 2007 completely because the site wasn't officially released until Sep 2007 and those visits are from where we were still working on the website.

You can tell that September 2007 started the site off well and set a benchmark that we are striving to meet again. That is mainly because of the major marketing campaign that began as soon as the site was released. We then dropped back in October and November to where the site should be reaching monthly.

December had a drop mainly because of the holiday season. People were not using their computers as much, including us. We didn't update the site as much as we would have liked in December, contributing to the drop in visits.

January 2008 is our proudest month so far. It did not reach the visits of September, October or November but if you look more towards the other stats, it preformed much more like we would like. 20,000 more pages were accessed than any other month and over 50,000 more files were loaded than any other month. These statistics tell us that we are getting many more people interested in finding out what all is on the website, rather than just hitting the site and leaving after one page.

These types of visits are the ones that we are striving to get on the website. It shows the interest of the locals as well as outsiders in the county. We have worked to promote the county to a variety of people and our efforts are beginning to pay off with the results that we like.
