The Viaduct aka The Tulip Trestle
April 28, 2008On April 28, 2008 we took these pictures of the Viaduct. Some were in the daylight/dusk and while traveling home, we saw a train heading towards the Viaduct so we went back and got pictures of the train crossing at night.
These pictures were taken on August 31st, 2008, and wraps up our project to take pictures of the Viaduct once a month for an entire year.
These pictures were taken on the snowy February 24, 2008 at the Viaduct.
These pictures were taken on the snowy New Years Day of 2008. Again we were lucky to see a train cross the trestle but not lucky enough to see two.
These pictures were taken during the first snow of the 2007/2008 winter. They were taken driving to the Viaduct and at the Viaduct.
Theses pictures were taken on the sunny day of July 23, 2008 at the Viaduct.
These pictures were taken on December 31, 2007 of the Viaduct / Tulip Trestle. Both trains pictured were shot about an hour apart. We were extremely lucky to get two trains in one day.
The following pictures were taken during the afternoon of March 28, 2008. Heavy rains the past few days caused some minor flooding of the surrounding land.
May 30, 2008
These pictures were taken in the afternoon of May 30, 2008 while the train trestle was undergoing maintenance. There were approximately 5 men from the Indiana Rail Road working on structure.

The Greene County Historical Society acquired the Viaduct Blue Prints and put them up on display for everyone to see.
The Viaduct Centennial was held in 2007 around the 100 year birthday of the building of the Viaduct.
